Finding Peace + Progress

When the world felt uncertain and overwhelming in 2020 and 2021, I found a surprising source of calm and growth in my garden. While everything around me seemed to shut down, tending to plants brought me back to myself. I would sit in the garden, hear the bees buzzing around and watch the chickens hunting for bugs and worms. And my nervous system that was so worked up over the unknown, the ugly, the scary, and the loneliness found a safe place to settle. When I became upset over all the things that were cancelled or closed, I witnessed growth in my flowers and veggies. My garden showed me that even though the outside world was making me crazy, I had a place to rest and reset, a place to see progress happening. It became my sanctuary. I found so much peace + progress there.
Later, moving to Colorado introduced me to the mountains, where hiking became a way to reconnect with peace and witness progress in nature and in my body as we hiked some beautiful trails. Not knowing anyone, and with our family and friends being so far away, it wasn't easy being in Colorado. I loved the adventures but I was so hungry for friendship and connection, and I missed our family so, so much. I struggled with my purpose, and things felt chaotic and loud like those previous years. The mountains let me breathe.
The garden was more than a hobby, and the mountains were more than recreation....they were a lifeline. These experiences shaped my desire to create a practice that offers a safe space for others to find their own peace + progress. When we had to brainstorm names for potential businesses in massage school, I knew I wanted that peace + progress in the name. I landed on peaceful progress because I believe amazing growth can happen in the quiet times. And I want people to know that...I want you to feel at peace in this space AND we're going to get some work done. We can breathe AND set goals, rest AND improve, recover AND plan, unwind AND grow.
Creating a Safe Space for Healing
Peaceful Progress Massage was born out of a desire to give to you what I have found for myself. My goal is to offer a practice where people can experience both peace and progress. This means creating an environment where everyone feels welcome, supported, and encouraged to move at their own pace. Whether someone is new to massage or has years of experience, the focus is on listening to the body and honoring its needs.
In this space, massage is not about pushing limits or achieving perfection. It’s about gentle progress, mindful awareness, and finding joy in the process. When people feel safe, they can let go and connect more deeply with themselves.
Massage IS Peace + Progress
Massage in itself bridges peace and progress by calming the nervous system while unlocking physical and mental barriers to growth. Through touch, breathwork, and focused attention, massage promotes relaxation, reduces stress hormones, and increases body awareness...creating a quieter mind that supports clearer thinking and emotional regulation. That inner calm fosters progress: improved sleep, better decision-making, enhanced resilience, and greater motivation to adopt healthy habits. In this way the mind–body connection cultivated by massage becomes both a sanctuary of peace and a practical engine for personal and physical advancement.
My particular practice adds to that peace + progress by creating a safe space, a place to rest and reset and grow just like my garden. My hope when you leave my space is for you to feel so relaxed and pain free, yes, but also seen, heard, and understood. It's more than just a massage. It's a supportive and encouraging experience.
It's progress at the pace of peace.
